Klimate Privacy Choices

Effective: August 1, 2026

Klimate does not create an app account. You can manage the information used by the app through Klimate and Apple’s system settings.

Cancel a Launch Notification

If you submitted an email address on the Klimate website, you may cancel the notification and ask for deletion by emailing [email protected] from the subscribed address. The address is otherwise deleted within 30 days after the single launch message is sent.

Manage Anonymous Analytics

Anonymous system-health analytics are off by default. To enable or disable them:

  1. Open Klimate.
  2. From the Weather screen, open the More menu.
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Turn Share Anonymous Analytics on or off.

Turning the setting off stops Klimate and its analytics service from creating new analytics events. Events previously sent remain subject to the retention practices described in the Privacy Policy. Because Klimate has no account and does not attach a known identity to anonymous analytics, Klimate may be unable to locate a particular historical analytics event from your name or email address.

Manage Current-Location Access

You can use Klimate without granting current-location access by searching for and selecting a location manually.

To change location permission, open Apple’s Settings app, then go to Privacy & Security → Location Services → Klimate. The exact labels can vary by operating-system version.

Delete Saved Locations

Open Klimate’s Locations tab. Swipe a saved location and choose Delete, or use the location’s context-menu Delete action. Deletion is saved on the device and sent to your private CloudKit database when iCloud synchronization is available.

Delete Saved Activities

Open Klimate’s Activities tab. Swipe an activity and choose Delete, or use the activity row’s Delete action. Deletion is saved on the device and sent to your private CloudKit database when iCloud synchronization is available.

Remove Local App Data

Deleting Klimate removes its local data from that device. Data previously synchronized to your private iCloud database may remain until you delete it through Klimate or manage the applicable iCloud data using Apple’s controls. Removing the app does not necessarily delete a website launch notification address, support messages, or anonymous analytics that were sent before removal.

Contact Privacy Support

For a privacy question or a request concerning a launch-notification address or support message, email [email protected]. Include only the information needed to explain your request. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, or other sensitive secrets.
